This was a full page cartoon that appeared in The Cortlandt Forum in 1996. The Cortlandt Forum, 'A Physician's Forum for the Exchange of Ideas', was one of the top markets during the halcyon days before the age of the internet, replete with cartoons which stood alongside articles about aspirin therapy, rapid strep tests, and anti-esophagitis cocktails.
Painted with brush and ink wash, this cartoon was admittedly a long way to go for a gag. I still kind of like it, though.
